History

Boscobel was chosen not because of the Gideon Bible, Turkey's, willing sheep or still to be built penitentiary. It was chosen for the incredibly great roads and soon to be great friends.
1996 A group of new Kawasaki Vulcan owners got together through the internet and started what has become VROC. The local WindyCity VROC grouped was formed shortly after.
1997 BlckChrome's 1996 Vulcan Classic was rear ended by a Lexus and after it was repaired and to celebrate, a group of riders put together the first Midwest Interstate VROC run to Indiana. This was made up of Don "BlckChrome" Soland and Mustang Sally, Rick "Wolfman" Jakubas, Don "D2" Diehls, Jeff "Tusk" Saunders and a handful of others who joined parts of the run. They had such a great time that Don Diehls began talking about the great roads near his wife Julie's home town of Boscobel Wisconsin and how they should plan another run there the following summer.

So there you have it. Over the years the Boscobel rally has had from 25 to 130 bikes in attendance. This is the evolution and the debauchery that has become affectionally known as Boscobel. The Delphi and VRA groups and now the town of Boscobel have been organizining additional rides back to Boscobel. The friends and memories made during these few short days of each summer will last a life time.
